Dang, what a crappy day. I’m assuming that starting in 2013, today – February 22nd – will forever be a fabulous day filled with giggles, candles, and cake. But today – February 22, 2012 – it just kinda stinks. It’s so hard knowing that today my Gigi girl is turning two years old and I’m not there to see it. It’s hard knowing she and Arthur are changing so much every day and I’m missing it. Basically today is a major downer for me.

So in an attempt to cheer myself up, I tried to figure out what I was doing on this day 2 years ago when Gigi was born. Since I haven’t keep a diary in 20 years, I turned to Facebook. And I was so excited to see that I actually had posted pictures on February 22, 2010! And I was even more excited when I saw what the pictures were! Because even though, on 2-22-10, I didn’t give birth to my adorable Gigi, I did “give birth” to what is probably my proudest accomplishment ever, SNOWZILLA!

It makes me feel good to at least know what I was doing on the day our sweetheart was born. And it makes me giggle to see pictures of Snowzilla. But I’ll feel so much better next year when we get to all celebrate together!
