Well, we are back and all settled in after a wonderful weekend in Nashville with my brother Rick and his girlfriend Megan. To say that we needed a vacation would be an understatement. And to say that the weekend was fabulous would be an even bigger one. We ate ourselves silly, watched ridiculous movies involving genetically altered/prehistoric/large as a submarine sharks, and spent one glorious day in the Tennessee hills at Arrington Vineyards. We also were so excited to meet up with a fellow [Home Country] family from our agency and spend a little time getting to know them. We should all be traveling to Africa together soon so it was great to meet them in person and share stories and excitement over our upcoming adoptions. Basically, it was the perfect weekend. We didn’t even hit any Memorial Day traffic since it’s apparently mandatory that Georgia folks head south to the beach for the holiday.

And! Even better than a great weekend was fantastic news when we returned. We got an email this evening from our coordinator informing us that all the paperwork we were waiting to be corrected is finished ahead of schedule! Whoo! This is exciting news!!! Ahead of schedule is always what I want to hear, even if “ahead” now is still “behind” our original schedule. All that matters now is that we are moving! We are still waiting for passports for the kiddos so I’m still not really sure what kind of timeline we’re looking at. We were told we would be getting more information later in the week. Bring it! I am so happy to finally get some news and I am thrilled that it is good news! After a wonderful weekend and fabulous news, I am feeling good right now! If the Braves could just get back on track, I would be a seriously happy girl.
